Transport Technology for Food Safety
The monitoring system confirms goods are delivered at the right temperature and provides an auditable temperature log to prove it. It automatically records temperature during transit and sends alarms from the vehicle back to base as soon as unexpected changes occur. Transport organizations can therefore prevent load spoilage and subsequent non-delivery, saving time, money and use of resources. It also monitors and transmits vehicle location via a Global Positioning System (GPS), as well as events, such as "door open" or "tractor connected," and provides real-time visibility of this information at the traffic office.
The system supports a multi-user environment and operates on a standard PC network running Windows NT. A user-friendly interface quickly alerts office staff to alarm activation and ensures that they acknowledge and record subsequent actions.
