T.G.I. Friday's Restaurants Recognize Top General Managers At Global Leadership Conference

Carrollton, TX - T.G.I. Friday's restaurants has announced the top General Managers in the Company for 2005. After evaluating business results of all general managers at 804 locations worldwide, 12 Divisional General Manager of the Year and three Overall General Manager of the Year winners were selected and formally honored on March 6 during the annual T.G.I. Friday's Global Leadership Conference, held at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada. First time winners received a Rolex watch, and repeat winners were awarded a five day/six night trip to Aruba.

"We are pleased to recognize these extraordinary General Managers who propelled T.G.I. Friday's to an outstanding year in 2005. Their efforts in creating a great environment for our team members and consistently providing an excellent dining experience for our guests have contributed to our success in the global marketplace," says Mike Archer, president and chief operating officer of T.G.I. Friday's U.S.A. "Their exceptional performance has helped us gain momentum as one of the leaders in the casual dining industry. These individuals are truly the best of the best at T.G.I. Friday's." According to Archer, other criteria for the award included sales, customer service and profit achievement.

This year's Overall General Manager of the Year honorees are:

  • T.G.I. Friday's U.S.A. (Company) – John Faire, Orlando, Florida
  • T.G.I. Friday's U.S.A. (Franchise) – Michael Schnidrig, Vancouver, Washington
  • T.G.I. Friday's International – Andrey Tumanov, Sheremetyevo, Moscow, Russia

The Divisional General Managers of the Year – U.S.A. recipients include:

  • GM of the Year (East Division, Company) – John Holden, Braintree, Massachusetts
  • GM of the Year (East Division, Franchise) – Bob Layman, Wood Ridge, New Jersey
  • GM of the Year (Southeast Division, Franchise) – Calvin Clay, Pensacola, Florida
  • GM of the Year (West Division, Company) – Brian Sawyer, Thornton, Colorado
  • GM of the Year (Midwest Division, Company) – Sandra Osborn, Batavia, Illinois
  • GM of the Year (Midwest Division, Franchise) – Brad Clark, Tulsa, Oklahoma
  • GM of the Year (Non-Traditional location) – Ron Hoffbeck, Minneapolis Airport, Minnesota
