In a community of 6,000 people, can one company make a difference? Yes. We believe that it can. Southern Pride Catfish Company started out with one man and one idea. His idea was to produce the best tasting farm-raised catfish on the market and he wanted to execute that in his home town of Greensboro, Hale County, Alabama.

In 1986, this man took a group of 38 employees and started Southern Pride Catfish Company. During that first year, Joe Glover, Jr. and his employees processed over 7 million pounds of farm-raised catfish. Today, Southern Pride employs approximately 775 people and will process over 80 million pounds of farm-raised catfish.

Through all of our changes and expansions, our heritage has remained the same. "We believe in producing only the best quality farm-raised catfish. We believe that our customers deserve the best. We stand behind our products from beginning to end and assure the quality of our catfish at every step." The legacy of Southern Pride Catfish will always remain: To give you the best. It's in Our Heritage.
