More Than 480-Site Rollout Completed in Less Than Four Months

Atlanta - Radiant Systems, Inc.'s hospitality division announced the completion of Sbarro, Inc.'s rollout of the Aloha suite of award-winning products including QuickService point-of-sale (POS), Enterprise, and Inventory running on Radiant terminals to more than 480 Sbarro corporate restaurants sites. Sbarro is currently the largest shopping mall-based Italian restaurant chain in the world operating and franchising nearly 1,000 units in 35 countries.

"We set an aggressive timeframe to implement the solution in all of our corporate restaurants while causing the least amount of disruption to daily operations," said Chief Information Officer Richard Guariglia of Sbarro. "Radiant and Sbarro in a team effort achieved our goal of more than 480 stores in 15 weeks in preparation for our busiest time of the year. It was important to make a seamless transition and the Radiant and Sbarro Team produced the desired result in a short time table. We are extremely pleased with how smoothly the entire process went."

"We pride ourselves on adding the most value to restaurant operators while meeting their deadlines and business objectives," said Andy Heyman, president of the Radiant Hospitality Division. "With the quick and efficient implementation of the Aloha solution, Sbarro was able to continue serving its customers the quality food it's known for while improving speed of service and operating margins."

Aloha Enterprise produces in-depth operational information including timely business alerts, customizable consolidated reporting to assist with margin improvement decisions and advanced sales analysis in real-time. Aloha QuickService POS reduces associate training time, improves order accuracy and provides comprehensive management of key processes from a central location. Designed for harsh retail environments, Radiant terminals offer Sbarro investment protection and flexibility through an open architecture and intuitive touch-screen.
