History of Parco Foods

Parco Foods is the nation's leading producer of specialty cookies. The company supplies baked cookies in bulk and retail size packages, as well as many frozen dough products to a diverse list of in-store bakeries, cookie retailers, wholesale and institutional distributors.

Started in 1963 by Charles Hoch, the company was then known as Party Cookies, Inc. Still a privately owned company, the name was changed to Parco Foods in 1983 to acknowledge its expanded product line. Today, the company maintains its corporate office and plant in Blue Island, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago.

In January 1996 Parco Foods formed a partnership with Kentco Capital Corporation lead by Richard and Vincent Kent, former owners/operators of Orval Kent Food Co., Inc., the nation's leading manufacturer of refrigerated deli salads. Charles Hoch is Parco's Chairman, Richard Kent is President and CEO and Vincent Kent serves as Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing.
