Riedel Crystal of Americame is a collection of machine-blown, lead-crystal glasses whose forms are fundamentally different from all the other glasses on the market. The glasses have diamond-shaped bowls that angle out dramatically before narrowing at the top, thus creating exceptionally wide evaporation surfaces that intensify bouquet and enhance silkiness in the mouth.

The glasses in the collection represent the world's five most popular wine types: Champagne (10in. high, 11 7/8oz.), Chardonnay (9 1/8in. high, 27 ½oz.), Riesling (9 ½in. high, 16 7/8oz.), Pinot Noir (9 ½in. high, 29 5/8oz.), and Cabernet Sauvignon (9 ¾in. high, 30 3/8oz.). The glasses are made possible by 21st century technology which is capable of producing perfect, thin bowls, extremely long, slender stems and large but delicate and seamless bases that provide excellent stability.

Each glass is designed after thorough oenological analysis of how different taste characteristics are optimized on the nose and palate by variations in glass design. Ultimately, each glass makes a beverage taste its best by enhancing its typicity, authenticity and finest characteristics.
