Hotel Inter-Continental Miami names Alexander Feher Executive Chef
Chef Feher brings years of culinary innovation and experience with him to Miami, having spent nearly two decades at the Hotel Inter-Continental New York, and more than 30 years total at Inter-Continentals worldwide.
As executive chef, Feher will be responsible for the operation of Indigo Restaurant & Bar and the Blue Water Café, room service and all function rooms. He will supervise the culinary staff; create menus and daily specials, control food quality, food costs, purchasing and labor costs.
"Feher's extensive knowledge of food preparation, garnered at hotel and restaurant appointments worldwide, will bring the Inter-Continental Miami to a new level in serving the finest contemporary cuisine with a flair," said de Roode. In 1999, Feher received the recognition of "Master Taster" by Chefs of America. He was twice awarded ‘Hotel Chef of the Year' by the same organization.
Feher's professional memberships include ‘Chef Rotisseur' of the Chaine des Rotisseurs in New York, Chefs of America and the Vatel Club in New York.
Born in Germany, Feher speaks three languages fluently. He received his Masters degree in Culinary Skills from Germany's Kuechenmeister Schule Schmirten.
The recently renovated Indigo Restaurant & Bar and Blue Water Café bring new levels of dining and service to Miami's premier business hotel. Indigo serves breakfast, lunch and dinner daily, with an extravagant Brunch buffet served on Sundays. The rooftop Blue Water Café serves lunch daily, while dinner is served Monday through Friday.
