Hilden America, Inc. was formed in 1989 when Hilden Manufacturing purchased Halifax Mills in South Boston, Virginia.
Hilden- a well known name in textiles- has been established since 1874. It is a privately owned family business controlled by the 4th, 5th, and 6th generations of the Hargreaves family.

Hilden is a vertical textile group, controlling all stages of production. The yarn preparation, weaving, bleaching, dyeing, and hemming are done in house by our meticulously trained staff of over 500 people. Hilden's products are sold in countries around the globe. The company won the prestigious Queens Award for Export Achievement in 1988 and achieved ISO 9002 Certification in 1992.

Unwilling to stand still, and with its sights set on continued excellence, the company recently completed a major capital investment, re-equipping with the most modern, high speed air weaving and computerized jacquard machines.

Additionally, a revolutionary new computerized design system has been installed which has dramatically accelerated the production of new and custom patterns.

Our manufacturing flexibility allows for pattern, color, and fabric selection to be our customers decisions.
