Franklin County Visitors Bureau Invites All To Taste Local Favorites During National Soup Month

January is National Soup Month and Franklin County has plenty of delicious local favorites to sample to celebrate the occasion.

A downtown favorite in Chambersburg is Molly’s Restaurant that serves up their famous chili and French onion Tuesday through Sunday. Their more specialty soups include roasted butternut squash bisque, shrimp bisque and drawing on their Greek roots, avgolemono, which is lemon rice soup. These soups are to be sampled while they last!

For over fifty years, the locals know of the delicious food served by Milky Way Drive-In in Fort Loudoun. From homemade soups such as vegetable beef, clam chowder, cream of broccoli and chicken corn noodle, soup is a great lunch choice.

B Street 104 in Greencastle serves a mix of traditional and new favorites. Diners can’t leave without trying the classic Grandma’s Chicken Rivel Soup or Grandma’s Supper Soup, a hearty Dutch classic. Also in Greencastle, Pure & Simple uses healthy food alternatives to make delicious food. Try a roasted pepper tomato soup, vegan chili, mushroom bisque, Tuscan white bean or cashew carrot ginger soup.

Every day is a different soup selection at Christine’s Café in Waynesboro. Pair a potato soup with a panini or sandwich for a delicious lunch meal.
