Colonial shutters provide storm protection with a traditional appearance. They are mounted at the sides of door or window openings. They are either closed in front of the opening to form the required wind and impact protection. Locking bars and flutter bars are provided as standard accessories as required. Note: Decorative wood colonials are available upon request.

Strength and Durability
Custom manufactured of extruded aluminum alloy and stainless steel hardware, designed to resist extreme environmental conditions. No sheet metal parts or styrofoam fillers are used.

Beauty
Ornamental, as well as useful, these handsome shutters make windows look larger and enhance the beauty of your home. Available in a wide spectrum of colors, with options ranging from Kynar 500 to powder paint to mill finish. We are able to custom match almost any color.

Protection
The fold-back Colonial shutter provides privacy, weather protection and security as well as hurricane protection. Without a backing panel, you still have complete ventilation. With integral backing panels, you can order the optional see-through punching - which allot light to pass through and gives limited visibility.

ShutterTime Colonial shutters are designed to resist hurricane wind loads to at least 110 mph. The colonial shutter with backing is Metro Dade approved. Product Approval #95-0717.07. The Colonial shutter has passed all testing and engineering requirements of SBCCI (Southern Standard Building Code Congress International) and is awaiting a SBCCI approval number. The integral backing panel is patented.
