Casa Ole Renamed Mexican Restaurants

Casa Ole Restaurants Inc., Houston, TX, announced it has changed its name to Mexican Restaurants Inc., as of May 18.

Lou Neeb, CEO and chairman of the board, said the change better reflects an "ongoing strategy of growing by careful new restaurant development in existing markets, coupled with opportunistic acquisitions of proven Mexican restaurant companies."

The promotional tag line, "Home of your favorite Mexican restaurant," will be used to unify the company's restaurants, which include 54 company-operated restaurants and 36 franchisee-operated restaurants under several names: Casa Ole, Monterey's Tex-Mex Cafe and Monterey's Little Mexico, Tortuga Cantina and La Senorita.

The company's NASDAQ trading symbol will remain "CASA."
