500 Sliders, the United Way

As a part of White Castle's national "Fastest Griddle Contest" the fast food chain will donate 500 hamburgers to four local United Way charities. These charities include the Domestic Violence for battered women and children, Aunt Martha's Youth Center, Community Center Youth Agency, and, Together We Cope.

On Thursday, May 27th, 16 of Chicago's fastest White Castle employees will gather in stiff competition with each other to earn the right to be called Chicago's fastest. The site of the contest is 11053 S. Southwestern Highway in Palos Hills and will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. Food and beverages will be provided to those attending. The local event is being held to determine which employee from the Chicago area will go on to compete with 11 other White Castle employees from around the country in the national contest to be held in Columbus, OH, where the company headquarters are located.
