Over twenty five years ago, cappuccino was first found served in a limited number of fine restaurants. In order to serve cappuccino, restaurants needed to purchase expensive equipment that only produced hot water and steam. Needless to say, waste, spoilage, labor, and the cost of ingredients were quite costly and troublesome. This sparked the idea of creating an instant cappuccino...

Brad Barry Company developed in 1974 when Al Greene and Frank Abbadessa worked together in creating and blending the first instant cappuccino. Caffe D'Vita cappuccino then became available to various bars and restaurants. In 1976, Mr. Greene and Mr. Abbadessa worked hand in hand with Jim Schildbach in developing the first instant cappuccino machine. In turn, Mr. Schildbach joined the team at Brad Barry Company in 1980, thus making up the three principals that are still actively guiding the growth of the company today.

As the company began to grow, the demand for customers to enjoy Caffe D'Vita cappuccino in their own homes also began to grow. Brad Barry Company then began marketing Caffe D'Vita cappuccino to be sold in supermarkets in southern California, which eventually led to distribution nationwide. Today, our retail line represents seven percent of the instant cappuccino market in the United States. Brad Barry Company prides themselves with adapting to the changing market environment and putting customers high on their priority list.

Being nationally known with expanding markets overseas, we have always been a unique company in creating flavor. With as many as eleven cappuccino flavors in a variety of sizes available, we continue to work on new products to be introduced to the market, including teas and smoothie mixes. With the acquisition of Five Star Packaging, a packaging facility located in Los Angeles, California, we now pack our own products to further assure greater production capability and quality control. In addition, we have the ability through Five Star Packaging for co-packing and private labeling of various products.
