The rapid HIV screen test is an in vitro, quantitative rapid immunoblot assay for the detection of the antibodies to HIV-1 and/or HIV-2 in serum and plasma. The test is designed as a screening test for individuals at known/unknown risk for HIV infection and as an aid in the diagnosis of potential infection with HIV 1/HIV 2.
