Winder Farms And Pago Restaurant Group Are Teaming Up

Two local companies are joining forces to bring you a new way to prepare dinner at home with a pre-portioned, make-at-home meal kit that arrives to customers’ doorsteps in a returnable cooler bag.

Salt Lake City, UT (PRWEB) - Two local companies are joining forces to bring you a new way to prepare dinner at home! You may have heard of the growing popularity of nationally shipped meal kits, now there is a fresh, local option in Utah. Home delivery grocery company Winder Farms recently introduced a new product line, called Prepped. Prepped is a pre-portioned, make-at-home meal kit that arrives to customers’ doorsteps in a returnable cooler bag. Each Prepped bag contains two recipes that serve two, all the ingredients needed to prepare those meals, and an easy-to-follow recipe card with step-by-step preparation instructions. The recipes are created by local chefs and change weekly.

Winder Farms will soon be launching a special version of Prepped. Winder has teamed up with Pago Restaurant Group to feature signature recipes from two of their popular Salt Lake City restaurants, East Liberty Tap House and Hub & Spoke Diner. The meal kit delivered the week of November 14 will include East Liberty Tap House’s Sloppy Lamb recipe and Hub & Spoke Diner’s Kentucky Hot Brown recipe, two favorites from the respective restaurants.

Melanie Robinson, CEO of Winder Farms, initially reached out to Pago’s founder and President, Scott Evans, with the idea. “Winder is a local Utah company and we like to partner with other local food growers and vendors whenever we can. Our team had the idea to feature local restaurants and we immediately thought of the Pago Restaurant Group. They have brought multiple innovative eateries into the Salt Lake area, incorporating local ingredients and investing in building refurbishments in many neighborhoods. We were thrilled they agreed to share their recipes.”

Pago Restaurant Group’s list of establishments includes their namesake Pago restaurant, as well as Finca, East Liberty Tap House, Hub & Spoke Diner, and their newest spot, Trestle Tavern. Each restaurant has its own personality but all share a focus on high quality, locally sourced, sustainable ingredients and unique beverages.

Existing Winder Farms home delivery customers can try Prepped simply by adding it to their order. Customers have the choice between vegetarian and omnivore options. The omnivore kit has been the most popular of the two, although Robinson stated that many customers have switched back and forth between the options, depending on which recipes appeal to the customer in a given week. Prepped is priced at $39.99, just under $10 per serving.

Winder Farms operates throughout Utah and in Las Vegas, NV and Orange County, CA. Prepped is currently only available in Northern Utah, with plans to expand to other markets in 2017.
